UEMO president met SANT chair Adam Jarubas.

Dr. Tiago Villanueva, UEMO President, met with Adam Jarubas, European deputy and President of the Committee on Public Health (SANT), to present the work and priorities of UEMO. The meeting took place in the context of the European Parliament’s upcoming work on its health workforce report, scheduled for Plenary adoption after the summer. This encounter represented an opportunity for UEMO to strengthen its engagement with the Parliament. Moreover, this reunion already follows a previous exchange with MEP Romana Jerković in January, who is also member of the SANT Committee.

MEP Jarubas encouraged UEMO to contribute actively and recommended two possible avenues for involvement in the SANT Committee’s work through an “exchange of views” session, featuring a technical presentation by an expert, or via a more political “hearing” with direct stakeholder interaction.
