UEMO President, Tiago Villanueva at the UEMS Council meeting in Brussels

Tiago Villanueva, President of UEMO, participated in the UEMS Council meeting on 17 October in Brussels.

He joined a European Medical Organizations panel discussion on the topic of the Involvement of European Medical Organisations in Global Medicine, along with representatives of AEMH, EJD, CPME and EMSA. He mentioned that the European Training Requirement (ETR) for the specialty of Family Medicine, which was presented at the meeting, will be an additional tool in the ongoing efforts to have General Practice / Family Medicine recognized as a specialty in the European Union.
