UEMO Statement on Gaza and medical personnel

The UEMO, at its General Assembly meeting in Helsinki, Finland on 6 June 2025, discussed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and calls for a permanent ceasefire, the release of all hostages, the resumption of aid at scale through established international humanitarian relief agencies, and safe passage for such aid. The UEMO calls on all parties to respect international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions and Protocols. The UEMO also calls for safety guarantees for all medical personnel and the reconstruction of a viable Palestinian healthcare system.
